3/20 FRANCIS BACON
Irish born figurative painter known for his shockingly bold, graphic and emotionally raw imagery. always controversial; one of the foremost chroniclers of the human condition since Caravaggio.

3/27 LUCIEN FREUD
German born painter chiefly known for his thickly impastoed figure paintings; their psychological penetration and often discomfiting examination of the relationship between the artist and the model.

4/3 HOWARD HODGKIN
Painter and print-maker, his work deals with the relationships between hand, eye and memory. The fuel that drives the color of the structures and the emotional temperature of his paintings.

4/10 DAVID HOCKNEY
Painter, draughtsman, print-maker, stage designer and not least, photographer. Hockney is widely considered to be one of the most influential British artists of the 20th century.
